NC candidate Sadhana Raut’s panel wins in Pyuthan Municipality-1



PYUTHAN: All the candidates of the coalition led by NC candidate Sadhana Raut have won in Pyuthan Municipality Ward No. 1.

Raut was elected ward chairman with 953 votes in the local elections held on Friday. Her nearest rival Govinda Basnet (Gopal) of the CPN-UML got 711 votes.

Coalition candidates also won in women members, Dalit woman member and open member categories.

The mayoral and deputy mayoral candidates from the ruling alliance are also in the lead.

The CPN-Maoist center and the Nepali Congress have formed an electoral alliance in this municipality.
