NC wins ward chair in Arghakhachi’s Panini-1



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Kamal Pokhrel has won the elections for the post of ward chairman of Panini rural municipality of Arghakhachi.

Pokharel got 813 votes while his closest rival from CPN-UML Rudra Kharel received 659 votes.

Achyut Gautam of NC is leading with 772 votes for the mayor while Tekraj Neupane of the CPN-UML is in the second position with 724 votes.

Similarly, NC’s Laxmi Gautam is leading with 767 votes for the post of deputy mayor while UML’s Narmada Poudel is leading with 726 votes.
