 NC candidate Hemraj elected as Myanglung-2 chair



TEHRATHUM: Nepali Congress candidate Hemraj Tumbahamphe has won the election for the post of ward chairman of Myanglung municipality-2 of Tehrathum. Tumbahanmphe won the elections with 509 votes.

His close rival from CPN-UML Shambhu Tumbahamphe got 475 votes. Shambhu is also the outgoing ward chairman.

According to Chief Electoral Officer Mahendra Prasad Pokhrel, an open member from NC, including ward chairman Tumwahamphe, have been elected.

Women member, Dalit women member and one open member have been elected from CPN-UML.

A total of 1,006 voters had cast their votes in the ward. A total of 22 votes cast for ward chairman have been invalid.
