NC takes lead in vote count of Bahaktapur’s Madhyapur Thimi



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Surendra Shrestha is taking the lead in the ongoing vote count of Madhyapur Thimi municipality of Bhaktapur with 437 votes.

His closest rival Madan Sundar (Jagulu) Shrestha of CPN-UML) has got 286 votes.

Madhyapur Thimi municipality belongs to the Bhaktapur district.

The total population of the municipality is 119,955 and the total number of voters is 41,842. There are 20,531 males and 21,308 females. There are 9 wards in this municipality.
