Counting of votes to begin shortly in Bharatpur Metropolitan City



KATHMANDU: Counting of votes is starting from Saturday morning in Bharatpur Metropolitan City of Chitwan.

After collecting all the ballot boxes on Friday, the counting of votes will start from 9 am on Saturday, according to the Office of the Chief Election Officer.

The all-party meeting has decided to start counting of votes from Saturday morning. The counting of votes of Bharatpur Metropolitan City will be held at Chitwan Exhibition Center, Bharatpur Telecommunication Road.

Bharatpur is in the news as Renu Dahal, daughter of UCPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is contesting the post of mayor for the second term.

A five-party alliance has jointly fielded Renu.
