KATHMANDU: The official Facebook page of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), the apex body of football in Nepal, has been hacked.

Issuing a notice on ANFA’s website on Thursday, the governing body of Nepali football said that its official Facebook page had been ‘compromised’. The hacked page has 214,969 followers.

Stating that previous attempts also had taken place to hack the page, ANFA said it was not able to regain access of the page this time and is deleting the page.

ANFA added it would open a new page, and also wished everyone a Happy New Year 2079, in the notice.
