In a message of best wishes today, CM Rai wished everyone happiness, peace, good health, long life, and progress. He also hoped that the New Year would bring more happiness and become productive.

Stating that this year the term of the Province Assembly and the Federal Parliament is coming to an end and the periodic elections to these bodies will be held for collecting people’s mandate for running the state affairs, he said the election is taken as the ‘oxygen’ of democracy. Chief Minister Rai also wished success in the election of all three levels.

He said this year is also the year for reviewing the Province Assembly’s performance in the last four years and to move ahead with added enthusiasm for making the final year of the term productive.

The Chief Minister said that the task of naming the province remains and called on the major political parties in the provincial assembly to present themselves actively in fulfilling this task.

He hoped that the name of the province would be finalized within this year itself with the support, cooperation, and honest initiatives from all the parties.
