Devotees throng Pashupatinath for prayers since early morning



KATHMANDU: A special arrangement has been made at the Pashupatinath Temple for devotees turning up here for prayers on the occasion of New Year, 2079 BS.

A special arrangement has been made to give a big crowd of worshippers at Pashupatinath Temple on New Year’s Day.

Pashupati Area Development Trust’s Culture Conservation Division Chief Gaurishanker Parajuli said that all four doors of Pashupatinath Temple have been kept open since early 4 am on the occasion of New Year.

He shared that the inflow of worshippers has increased in the temple area since early this morning. An arrangement has been made for the worshippers to offer prayers and pooja from the northern, western, and southern main gates of the temple today.

Parajuli further shared that security arrangement has been made in coordination with the Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala. The arrangement has also been made for those who want to offer special pooja on the occasion, he added.
