Ruling coalition in Arghakhanchi to retain coordination in upcoming election



BUTWAL: The five parties in the ruling coalition in Arghakhanchi have announced to file common candidates in the upcoming election on April 12.

The Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-Maoist Center, CPN-Unified Socialist,  Janata Samajwadi Party and Rastriya Janamorcha held a press conference in Sandhikharka on Monday and announced to retain coalition and file contestants in coordination with the locals in the federal and province elections.

NC District President Keshav Shrestha said that the five parties in the ruling coalition have agreed to coordinate till the local, federal and province assembly elections to safeguard the constitution and democracy.

Shrestha said that the ruling coalition had to be maintained till the election as the UML had shown pride and arrogance by humiliating other parties.

Maoist Center leader Chham Kumari Khanal said that they agreed to coordinate the election against the autocracy and dictatorship of UML Chairman KP Oli.

Similarly, Unified Socialist party leader Ram Bahadur Chouhan said that the decision was taken to maintain the alliance as there was a danger of UML taking retrograde steps.

At the press conference, Jindak Khadka of Janata Samajwadi Party and Sher Bahadur BC of Rastriya Janamorcha informed that all the parties would have proportional representation in the election.
