Leadership mandated to decide considering the situation leadership

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has decided not to bring impeachment motion against four other judges of the Supreme Court immediately.

Addressing a meeting of the UML parliamentary party (PP) , UML chairperson KP Oli said that the UML would not take a decision on the basis of impulse and revenge but would take a decision based on the next steps of the court leadership.

Chairman Oli said that he was closely monitoring the situation and would not spoil the situation as he was in favor of holding local elections on time.

According to a lawmaker present in Monday’s PP meeting claimed that the UML chairman is not in the mood to making the politics more volatile.

“Our Chairman knows the complications the impeachment motion could bring provided it is registered against Supreme Court justices and does not want to add ghee,” the leader said under anonymity, adding, “UML has already collected the signatures of the parliamentarians and the leadership has decided to use them when necessary.”
