Women’s volleyball match under 9th National Games to begin in Beni

BENI: Women’s volleyball match under the 9th National Games is to begin from today in Beni of Myagdi district.

All the preparations for the match have been over and it will be inaugurated amid a grand function, said Dinesh KC, chairperson of the district sports development committee.

The committee and the district volleyball association have led the match while Beni Municipality has provided assistances.

The game will run until October 19 and its venue is Khulla Manch (open theater) in Beni.

Ten teams including each from all seven provinces, the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police are participating in the match.

All the players have reached the district for the match, said the Association chairperson Tejendra Baniya.

Accommodation and food for the players have been managed in coordination with the hotel entrepreneur association, it has been said.

Similarly, a taekwondo under the 9th National Games will be also organised in the district.

The venue for the match is Covered Hall at Kalipul. All the preparations for the match have been completed.
