KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has extended its support to Hridayesh Tripathi, the Chairman of Janata Pragatisheel Party, in Nawalparasi Constituency-1.
UML withdrew its candidature in support of Tripathi who is contesting the election to the House of Representatives from Nawalparasi-1.
Earlier, in the 2074 BS House of Representatives election, Tripathi was elected by contesting with the CPN UML’s election symbol “Sun”.
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress has fielded industrialist Binod Chaudhary in the constituency.
