Weather: Axis of Monsoon Trough slightly to the South



KATHMANDU: The Axis of the Monsoon Trough has moved slightly to the south, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, said.

The weather today will remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places in hilly regions and at a few places in the rest of the country, the Department said.

The Department has also forecast chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places in the Lumbini Province and Sudur Pashchim Province.

Similarly, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country tonight.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places in Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and at a few places in the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, parts of the Kathmandu Valley have been witnessing rainfall almost every day.

The weather in Kathmandu is cloudy with some places witnessing light rainfall.
