Nepal sees 263 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 263 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases, 162 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 101 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,165 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,399 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,766 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,434 active cases in the country as 501 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Two more coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,986 to date.
