13 killed, 12 injured in Syangja jeep accident



WALING: Thirteen people have died and 12 others sustained injuries after a jeep met with an accident at Panchamul in Waling municipality-14 of Syangja.

All the injured have been taken to Pokhara for treatment, said Chief District Officer of Syangja Raju Paudel.

According to District Police Office, Syangja, a jeep, Ga 2 Cha 3026, heading to Waling carrying voters from Shikre veered off the road and fell some 150 meters down the road at Walling-14 Arkhalabas.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.

A joint police team led by DSP Dhakendra Khatiwada of Ward Police Office, Waling, carried out a rescue work with the help of locals.
