27% votes cast as of 11:15 am: EC Spokesperson



KATHMANDU: Voting is taking place today under the local level election across the country. Voting began at 7 am on Friday.

Election Commission spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel said that 27 percent of votes were cast by 11:15 am.

Voting will continue until 5 p.m.

A total of 17,733,723 eligible voters are participating in the election to choose a total of 35,221 people’s representatives at local levels, the Election Commission (EC), which has ensured a fair, free and impartial voting process, said.
