NC Gen Secy Sharma votes in local elections from Mechinagar



JHAPA: Nepali Congress (NC) general secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma cast his vote in the local elections from the Kabi Shiromani Polling Station at Mechinagar municipality-9 in Jhapa.

He reached the polling center this morning to take part in the voting. Taking to media persons on the occasion, he said the voting under the local polls is taking place enthusiastically across the country.

There are 900,202 voters: 45,090 females and 45,112 are males in the Mehinagar and 35 polling stations followed by 102 polling centers have been set up for the voting, according to election officer Bed Raj Phuyal.

Among 320 election candidates for several posts, one dalit woman member from the CPN (UML) has been already elected unopposed.
