KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against Laxman Basnet, an official at the Land Revenue Office, Chabahil.
The commission has filed a charge sheet against Basnet alleging that he had taken bribe of Rs 135,000.
CIAA accused Basnet of taking bribe from the service recipient delaying the transfer of land.
A team of CIAA officials from Tangal office had reached at the site and arrested Basnet last Thursday.
A charge-sheet has been filed against Basnet at Special Court in Kathmandu Thursday.
