Nepal sees 521 new coronavirus cases, 10 deaths in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 146 new cases

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 521 new cases of coronavirus and 10 deaths in the past 24 hours as of Sunday. Nepal recorded 836 new coronavirus cases and 4 deaths on Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 427 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 94 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 93 cases in Kathmandu, 9 in Bhaktapur and 44 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 146 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 4 coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,892 to date.

Currently, there are 22,584 active cases in the country as 3,935 infected patients recovered.
