Misinformation and confusion against MCC being spread: NC leader Dr. Mahat

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that an attempt was being made to create confusion about the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) grant assistance.

Dr Mahat said it was necessary to end the misconception being spread about the MCC support.

Stating that the MCC grant assistance is one of the largest that Nepal has received so far, he said that Nepal will be able to utilize the support as per its choice.

He said that Nepal would maintain relations with India, China, and the United States on the same standard by maintaining a balanced foreign policy.

On a different note, he said that the country has not been able to develop due to a lack of a majority with the Nepali Congress.

Hence, the NC should be given a majority in the upcoming local, state, and federal elections.
