NEPSE gains 54.12 points to close above 2,857 on last trading day of week

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has gained 54.12 points and closed at 2,857.57 points on Thursday — the last trading day of the week.

The index that opened at 2,808.80 points created an intraday low of 2,802.8 and closed at the intraday high of 2,857.75 points. The index rose by 1.9 percent today.

Yesterday, the index had dropped by 30.51 points after consecutive gains earlier in the week.

However, the turnover has declined today compared to Wednesday. The total turnover today is below Rs 7 billion against the turnover of over Rs 8 billion Wednesday. As many as 11,834,216 shares of 224 public companies were traded via 77,668 transactions, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 6.6 billion today.

All sectors, except ‘others’, closed green today.
