Oxygen generation plant with higher capacity comes into operation in Birendranagar



SURKHET: A new oxygen generation plant has started production after its successful installation at Katkuwa Municipal Hospital in Birendranagar.

Hospital sources said the medical oxygen plant that was set up at the cost of around 150 million underwent a successful test production.

As informed, Birendranagar municipality had started installing the plant in collaboration with Chaudhary Group when the graph of coronavirus infection had reached atop in the second wave of the pandemic.

“Plant has been kept in ready position for regular operation. There will be no shortage of oxygen in Surkhet from now onward”, said municipality’s Public Health Section Inspector, Bhupendra Dev Giri.

He informed that plant has the capacity to fill up 150 cylinders with 40 liters in 24 hours. It is expected to adequately supply oxygen in the entire Karnali province.

The plant will surely augment the province capacity to respond to the COVID pandemic in future days as well.
