Vacancy opens for 115,000 temporary police personnel targeting elections



KATHMANDU: Nepal Police Headquarters on Sunday opened a vacancy to recruit 115,000 temporary police for the elections to the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assemblies to be held on November 20.

Recruitment Selection Branch of Human Resource Development Department of Nepal Police, publishing a notice, said that the application date for the form fill-up process would range from September 15 to 22.

According to DIG Tek Prasad Rai, also spokesperson of Nepal Police Headquarters, those who want to enroll can apply for the job from September 15 to 22. Applications can be submitted even on public holidays.

It has been arranged that applications can be submitted in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur district police offices (DPO) and all DPOs outside Kathmandu Valley.

The Police Headquarters has planned to deploy recruits in the field from October 26 for 40 days. It said priority would be accorded to those serving in the 2017 elections.

Similarly, the Headquarters has said that priority will be given to former security personnel or former forest guards who have retired or taken voluntary retirement from Nepal Police, Armed Police, Nepali Army.
