Pedestrian dies after being hit by a truck in Sarlahi



JANAKPURDHAM: A pedestrian died after being hit by a truck in Sarlahi on Monday morning.

District Police Office Sarlahi said that 50-year-old Ram Chandra Rayamajhi, a resident of Hariwan Municipality Ward No. 9, died on the spot.

A truck loaded with wheat heading toward Hetauda from Mirchaiya, ​​hit a pedestrian on the East-West Highway at Hariwan.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bijay Yadav informed that Rayamajhi died on the spot.

The truck and its driver, 37-year-old Lalit Chaudhary of Mirchaiya Municipality-9 in Siraha, are under police custody.
