Government and Tharu Welfare Assembly office-bearers hold meeting



KATHMANDU: A meeting has been held between the government and office-bearers of the Tharu Welfare Assembly on Friday.

The meeting was held in the presence of Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand at Singha Durbar.

Minister for Water Supply Uma Kanta Chaudhary, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Govinda Prasad Sharma (Koirala), Attorney General Khamba Bahadur Khati, Minister for Tourism, Rural and Urban Development of Lumbini Province, Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, and Spokesperson of Home Ministry, Phanindra Mani Pokharel on the behalf of the government were present in the meeting.

Similarly, Assembly Vice-Chair Devi Prasad Chaudhary, General Secretary Premi Lal Chaudhary and central committee members– Prabhat Kumar Chaudhary and Rukmani Chaudhary from Tharu Welfare Assembly were present.

The Assembly held talks about the demands put forth by the Assembly before the government.

Home Ministry Spokesperson Pokharel shared that today’s meeting concluded with a conclusion to hold the meeting again doing homework by both sides to resolve problems.
