NC central members for taking forward alliance till elections



KATHMANDU: Central members of the Nepali Congress (NC) have stressed on the need to take the alliance to the upcoming federal and state elections.

Speaking at the ongoing NC Central Committee meeting on Tuesday, the central members said that the coalition had helped the Nepali Congress to achieve victory.

They were of the view that the alliance should be continued till the next election as it has contributed well to the overall result.

NC Spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat said the party leaders had no choice but to form an alliance also keeping in mind the proportional representation system. .

Likewise, the leaders stressed early finalization of alliance and distribution of the party ticket, said spokesperson Mahat.

He said that the leaders were urged not to express their dissatisfaction at the party meeting and not outside to give the message that the NC is united.

He also claimed that the party succeeded in managing COVID-19 and executing a balanced foreign policy.

At the party’s central committee meeting, the leaders demanded that the government show readiness to control inflation and ensure easy supply of manure.
