NEPSE gains 11.68 points on Tuesday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index gained 11.68 points to close the stock market at 1,927.28 points on Tuesday.

The index gained 0.61% against loss of 77.01 points on Monday.

The index that opened at 1916.41 made an intraday low of 1,908.59 points and an intraday day high of 1,947.54 points. Ultimately the index closed at 1,927.28.

A total of 4,967,561 shares of 226 companies traded hands via 30,696 transactions, resulting in a turnover of Rs 1.707 billion. This is lower than Monday’s turnover of Rs 2.325 billion.

The share price of Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd hit a positive circuit of 10 percent.

Shares of Arun Kabeli Power Ltd traded the most as the hydropower company alone registered a turnover of Rs 79.58 million. Gurkhas Finance Ltd and Shivam Cements followed Arun Kabeli with respective turnovers of Rs 76.04 million and Rs 74.01 million.

All sub-indices closed in green with maximum gains coming from the Hotels and Tourism sub-index. Finance and Hydropower sub-indices were up by 1.39% and 1.38%, respectively.
