KATHMANDU: The Commander of the US Army Pacific Command (USARPAC), Senior General Charles A Flynn, visited the Nepal Army’s Birendra Peacekeeping Training Center (BPOTC) in Panchkhal and the Army Command and Staff College (ACSC) in Shivpuri on Sunday.
According to NA sources, during General Flynn’s BPOTC visit, various issues, including the need to further increase the assistance received from the United States for peace building in the future, were discussed.
After arriving at the ACSC, General Flynn met with the college’s head of education, interacted with the trainee officers, and planted trees on the college premises.
He is on a four-day official visit to Nepal.
NA remarked that the visit by a high-ranking military official of the Allied Powers has helped in deepening the military ties and enhancing mutual harmony between the two countries.
