77 % of votes cast in mock polls invalid



KATHMANDU: There are high chances that the votes to be cast in the local level elections to be held on Friday will be invalid.

A study of the muck elections conducted by the Election Commission in Rasuwa recently has shown that 77 percent of the votes cast have been invalid.

In the mock elections conducted at Rasuwa Secondary Schools in Dhunchhe, the district headquarters of Rasuwa on Tuesday, only seven votes out of 31 votes cast had been valid.

One was declared completely invalid and 23 votes had been partially invalid.

District election officers, judges, government officials, media persons, representatives of the party, and candidates of the local elections had participated in the mock elections.
