As the date of the local level election is fast approaching, nine candidates, who had filed candidacies for the post of deputy chief, ward chairman, and member, have died, said the Commission.

According to Surya Prasad Aryal, assistant spokesperson of the Commission, out of 145,011 candidates contesting the election, nine candidates had died. “Nine candidates have died after registering their candidacies for the local level elections,” Aryal said.
