Ruling coalition instructs to finalize seats, candidates by April 17



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the ruling coalition parties has directed the concerned to decide on the electoral alliance and candidates for the local elections slated for May 13.

The coalition has decided to coordinate from the ward in the local level election and not to forge an alliance with the parties, which are not in the coalition.

A meeting of the five-party alliance held at the PM’s official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday has directed the district levels to finalize the modalities of the alliance.

The Nepali Congress, the Maoist Center, the CPN-Unified Socialist, the Janata Samajbadi and the Rastriya Janamorcha are having hard times forging an electoral alliance for the local-level elections.
