Coalition meeting underway in Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the ruling coalition parties is underway at Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s official residence in Baluwatar.

According to the Baluwatar sources, today’s meeting will decide on the modalities of electoral coordination. The meeting was scheduled to be held at 4 pm but it started a little late.

Earlier, a Monday’s meeting of the coalition parties had worked on the modalities of electoral coordination. As the discussion failed to reach a conclusion, the meeting is held Tuesday again.

Then, the leaders discussed the bases for the alliance for the May 13 elections.

The meeting agreed to settle the issues relating to candidacy for the metropolis and sub-metropolis from the center and other municipalities from the lower level.

The coalition has also set up an electoral mechanism to draw a blueprint for coordination.
