NPU to hold gen convention on May 27-28



HETAUDA: Preparations have been expedited to hold the general convention of the Nepal Press Union (NPU) in Hetauda on May 27-28.

The local organizing coordination committee of the NPU on Monday held an interaction with the members and office-bearers of the Nepal Trade Union Congress, Makwanpur.

Durning the interaction, the trade union expressed its commitment to extend support from mobilization of manpower to other various assistance required.

In the interaction program chaired by NPU Makwanpur President and General Convention Secretariat, Forum and Welcome Committee Coordinator Poshtraj Adhikari, NPU member Rammani Dahal, who is also the general convention coordination sub committee coordinator, housing committee coordinator Rupesh Dulal, food committee coordinator Sujan Bidari, trade union Congress Bagmati Pradesh Vice President Birendra Kumar Lama among others were present.

To be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, a total of 1,500 representatives are expected to participate in the general convention.
