KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that they are waiting for the election to get rid of the incumbent government.
Addressing the inaugural function of the 11th National Assembly of the Nepal Civil Service Employee’s Association on Saturday, Chairman Oli compared the current government to a radish that did not develop roots. Stating that it would not be very difficult to uproot the government, he said they were awaiting elections for the same.
Claiming that the present government would no longer be in power after the election, he alleged that the government was trying to run away from the election.
Further stating that even a small radish had a small root, Chair Oli said the present government (sans root) was formed by the order of only five judges and it would not be so difficult to uproot it.
“We need not do much to uproot this government as it does not have a strong foundation. We can pluck it effortlessly,” he said.
Chair Oli, alleging that Nepali Congress (NC) leaders had pressured civil employees not to cooperate with his government during his term in office, viewed the NC as an undemocratic party.
