Sudurpaschim Khaptad Gold Cup: Manang and Friends locking horns for title today



KATHMANDU: The final tournament of the Fifth Chief Minister Sudurpaschim Khaptad Gold Cup is taking place on Saturday.

To be held at Dhangadhi Stadium, Manang Marshyangdi Club will lock horns with Friends Club for the tile. The match will begin at 3 pm.

Both the teams have been well prepared strategically and are aiming to grab the tile.

The winner of the tournament will receive Rs 2.1 million as a cash prize while the first runner-up will go away with Rs 1 million.

Manang had reached the final by defeating Himalayan Sherpa in a penalty shootout 4-2 in the first semi-final. Similarly, Friends had beaten Bagmati Youth Club by 2-1 in the second semi-final.

The match has been organized by Sudurpaschim-11 Sports Club, Dhangadhi. A ticket price to enter the stadium has been fixed at Rs 200.
