Nepali team flying to India to participate in SAFF U-18 Women’s C’ship



KATHMANDU: Nepali women team is flying to India to take part in the SAFF U-18 Women’s Championship today.

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Friday bade adieu to the team amidst a ceremony.

Speaking at the farewell program organized at ANFA complex, Satdobato, captain Preeti had set a goal to win the championship.

“We have practiced for a month. There is much improvement in the team,” said Rai, adding, “Despite a strong opponent, we are confident that we will win the championship.”

Nepal, India and Bangladesh will participate in the tournament to be played on a round-robin format.

The championship is being held in Jamsedpur of India from March 15 to 25.
