Fire erupts in Mansha Thai Foods industry



JHAPA: A fire broke out at Mansha Thaifoods in Duhagadhi of Jhapa’s Mechinagar Municipality-14 this morning.

According to Lokraj Dhakal, district president of the Nepal Red Cross Society, the fire broke out at the industry at around 4 in the morning.

Twelve fire engines from Jhapa, Morang, Ilam and Sunsari have been used to put out the fire.

The fire has not been brought under control yet, said Dhakal. A large number of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and locals are trying to put out the fire. Established in 2075 BS with an investment of Rs. 1 billion, the industry has been producing noodles including Magmag and Akbare.

All the goods in the industry were destroyed by the fire. However, there was no loss of human life as the incident took place early in the morning, said managing director of the industry, Buddhi Ghimire.
