Prime Minister Deuba to undergo PCR test tomorrow

KATHMANDU: After finding coronavirus infection in some of the staffs in the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to undergo PCR test Thursday to find out infection status.

Earlier, when the PCR tests were carried out on security personnel and secretariat staffs working at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar on Monday, some of the staffs had tested COVID-19 positive.

A kitchen staff and the Prime Minister’s security personnel had tested coronavirus positive.

“Prime Minister Deuba is scheduled to undergo PCR test on Thursday as he came under contact tracing,” Bhanu Deuba, Prime Minister Deuba’s Chief Personal Secretary said on Wednesday, adding, “The Prime Minister is in isolation and has canceled political meetings and official programs for a few days.”
