Dengue cases climb to 51,177 so far



KATHMANDU: The number of people infected with dengue has climbed to 51,177.

Altogether 914 new dengue infections were reported in the past three days.

Meanwhile, two more people died of dengue in the past three days. With this, the number of deaths due to dengue has reached 57, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

A total of 39,624 people are infected with dengue in Bagmati province alone. This includes 13,787 in Kathmandu, 9,522 in Lalitpur and 5,489 in Bhaktapur.

The number of dengue infections stand at 4,918 in Lumbini Province, 20,085 in Province 1, 10,721, in Gandaki, 896 in Sudurpaschim Province and 676 in Karnali Province.
