NEPSE loses 16.06 points to close at 1,855.16 on Tuesday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has lost 16.06 points to close at 1,855.16 points on Tuesday.

Likewise, the Sensitive Index fell by 3.21 points to settle at 363.63 points. The index had lost 27.16 points yesterday.

The index that opened at 1,871.28 went as low as 1,849.80 to ultimately close at 1,855.16 points. The opening index also became the intraday low of the day.

As many as 1,768,692 units of shares of 229 companies changed hands via 12,294 transactions, resulting in a turnover of Rs 552 million today. Yesterday’s turnover was of Rs 971 million.

Summit Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the top gainer today with its share price gaining highest 10 percent while Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company Limited lost the highest 7.18 percent, becoming the top loser today.

Nabil Bank Limited had the highest turnover and the shares of Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme 2 traded the most.
