Prabhu Sah comes with panel against UML-JSP alliance

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Prabhu Sah, who surprised all by filing candidacy from Rautahat-3 despite getting ticket from UML for the November 20 election, is found to have formed a panel of candidates against UML-Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) alliance in Madhesh Province.

According to a source close to leader Sah, the former Maoist Center leader, who tried to be close to UML Chair KP Oli and get the credit for UML’s comeback in Madhesh, was disappointed at Chairman Oli’s move of taking Raghubir Mahaseth in the lead in Madhesh.

Shah had been the key person to make UML competitive in Madhesh. UML’s hold in Madhesh was declining due to the anti-Madhesh remarks of Chairman Oli; however, Shah’s entry had paved room for more Madheshi leaders’ entry to UML.
