14 independent candidates contesting elections with UML Chair Oli

JHAPA: As many as 27 individuals have registered their nominations for the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) in Jhapa Constituency-5 — the constituency of CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Among them, 14 are independent candidates, according to District Election Office Jhapa.

Nominations were registered on Sunday for the election to the HoR and State Assembly members to be held on November 20.

Among those candidates filing their nominations include UML Chairman KP Oli, independent candidates Kalpana Lawati and Indramani Dahal; Om Maya Angdembe of Janata Samajwadi Party; Kabindra Sherma of Federal Democratic National Forum; independent candidate Kedarnath Chapagai, among others.
