NEPSE loses 11.46 points to settle at 1,926.28 on Sunday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index lost 11.46 points to close at 1926.28 points on Sunday.

The index lost 0.59 percent today (Sunday). The index had lost 2.13 points last Thursday.

Similarly, the sensitive index fell 2.10 points to close at 374.73 points.

The index that opened at 1,938.2 points made an intraday high of 1,946.42, an intraday low of 1,922 and ultimately closed at 1,926.28 points.

A total of 2,524,224 shares of 221 companies were traded via 20,124 transactions, resulting in a turnover of Rs 747 million in the secondary market today.

Meanwhile, the highest gainer of the day was Mailung Khola Jal Vidhyut Company Limited whose share prices went up by 4.56 percent in the index today.

Likewise, Sanima Large Cap Fund lost the highest 5.37 percent today.

Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited registered the highest turnover while the shares of Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited was the top stock by No. of Transactions.

Only one sector closed green, “Others” gained 0.29 percent while “Hydropower” lost the highest 1.55 percent.
