Nepal sees 17 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 17 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Out of the confirmed cases, nine were detected through the RT-PCR method and eight through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,173 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,193 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 980 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 107 active cases in the country as 11 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.
