Former Minister Chaudhary passes away



KATHMANDU: Former Minister for Population and Environment Mithila Chaudhary has passed away. She was 57.

Chaudhary’s daughter Raksha informed that she died while undergoing treatment at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi, India.

Mithila, who also had been a member of the Constituent Assembly, was in charge of the Ministry of Population and Environment representing the CPN (United) in the Deuba-led government.

Although she was born in Janakpur Sub Metropolitan City of Dhanusha district on March 20, 1996 BS, she had been living permanently in Rajbiraj municipality-8 of Saptari district.

She is survived by her husband, a son and two daughters.
