Three arrested with 300 grams of gold from TIA



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three persons along with 299.88 grams of gold from Tribhuvan International Airport.

The arrested are Sukuram Lama, 32, Pemma Thokra, 27, and Buddhiman Tamang, 22. All the three are permanent residents of Naugund Gaonpalika-6 Rasuwaka.

The Airport Security Office arrested them from the arrival tunnel gate of the airport on Monday.

Police have recovered a total of six gold chains from them; two 99.96 gram gold chains from the jeans Sukuram was wearing, two 99.96 gram gold chains from Pemba and two 99.96 gram gold chains from Buddhiman Tamang.

According to the International Airport Security Office, they were handed over to the Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Office for further investigation.
