Woman on her way to Japan arrested with a bullet at TIA

KATHMANDU: A young woman has been arrested with one round of ammunition at Tribhuvan International Airport.

According TIA sources, the arrested is Sovita Nepali, 27, of Bhanu Municipality-7, Tanahu.

The Criminal Investigation Branch of the International Airport Security Office nabbed Nepali and sent her to Gaushala Police Circle for further investigation.

Nepali was on her way to Japan via Malaysia, from a Nepal Airlines flight on Sunday.

An X-ray examination revealed a round of ammunition in her small purse.
