Ruling coalition appeals voters to support consensus candidate



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the ruling coalition held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar has decided to appeal to the people to vote for their common candidate.

Government spokesperson and Nepali Congress leader Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that today’s meeting of the ruling coalition also discussed the modalities for the electoral alliance and the formation of a coalition across the country.

The five-party election preparation and monitoring committee led by senior Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel has suggested modalities for coordination on the basis of reports from the local level.
