Nepal sees 77 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 21 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 77 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday. There was one coronavirus-related death in the country in the last 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases today, 62 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 15 from the antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, as there was one coronavirus-related death in the past 24 hours, the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,950 to date.

Similarly, Kathmandu valley witnessed 21 coronavirus cases in past 24 hours with 15 cases in Kathmandu, two in Bhaktapur and four in Lalitpur district.

Currently, there are 5,212 active cases in the country as 189 infected patients recovered.
