Parliamentary ratification of MCC has upheld public trust in Maoist Center: Prachanda

SURKHET: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has remarked that the coalition government’s role in parliamentary ratification of US grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) has further enhanced people’s trust in the government and the Maoist Center.

Addressing a training program organized by Maoist Center’s Karnali Province Committee in Surkhet on Friday, Chairman Prachanda said that the party garnered wide public support for the decisive role it has played in crucial issues relating to public concern.

He said that Maoist Center’s wise decision has helped the country out from the forces attempting to cause instability and unrest in the country.

“The Maoist Center has been playing a decisive role in bringing the country out of the crisis. The latest example of this is the MCC, ” Prachanda said, adding, ” People’s confidence in the Maoist Center has increased after the MCC got passed to prevent the alliance from being divided. “

Prachanda noted that the US support for the explanatory declaration had increased its importance and called on the government to respond by sending an informal letter.
